Neighbourhood Matters: Appeal to the Broseley Community

Dear Resident,

Broseley Safer Neighbourhood Team is appealing for information following recent anti-social behaviour incidents.

🔹Electric Bikes & Scooters – Windsor Crescent
On 3 August at around 19:15hrs, reports were received of children riding electric bikes and scooters on the road. Riding without appropriate safety equipment is dangerous and electric scooters are not permitted on public roads, pavements or other public places. Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with their children about road safety and the law surrounding these vehicles.

🔹 Deliberate Fires – Birch Meadow & Wilkinson Avenue
On 3 August at around 22:20hrs, fire crews attended reports of multiple deliberate fires at Birch Meadow. Today, a further incident was reported at 15:25hrs on Wilkinson Avenue, where an abandoned sofa was set alight in a woodland area. Deliberate fires can put lives at risk, damage property and the environment and spread quickly in the current dry weather. Please speak with children about the dangers and consequences of this behaviour.

🔹 Egging – Wilkinson Avenue
In recent weeks, we have also received reports of properties being egged. Whilst often seen as a prank, egging can cause damage and distress and may be treated as criminal damage.
